Comments from Brent (post #3 for Today!)

Well its my turn to chime in on the blog. Hope this is still making it to the USA as it seems to have been blocked here in China. Everything is going very well. Hannah Mei is a real darling. She was so brave on the day we got her. She would not look us in the eye but she did not cry at all. Ian has also been awesome as a big brother. He has been very helpful and supportive and loves his little sister. The Olympic torch came by our hotel about 10 minutes ago and we watched it go by from our 10th story room. The streets were lined with cheering Chinese. I am not sure who was carrying the torch but he seemed to be a grey haired Anglo. There is a nice mountain park just across the street from us with lots of lovely native trees, flowers, butterflies and birds, including red billed blue magpie which I've seen twice. Ian and I went exploring over there yesterday while Hannah and Judy were sleeping and we found all sorts of critters and saw many interesting things mostly centered around some sort of game/sporting activity most of which I have not seen before. The people are so friendly just like the last time I was here in another part of China. As you probably know from other blog postings Hannah can walk, is very strong, points at all sorts of things she is interested in, jabbers a lot, has five teeth (very crooked, braces are in the future), and as of today is smiling quite often. I saw her smile once yesterday when Ian was playing peek-a-boo with her. She took her first bath last night a loved it. She was splashing water in to her face and had a look of pure joy.
